A couple of weeks ago our Gleaners team got fresh garbanzo beans.
I had never heard of eating them fresh, just canned.
So I tried them.
First let me say, they are WONDERFUL tasting treats ... BUT they are very labor intensive! Each individual bean has to be shelled ... I worked for an hour and ended up with only a small bowl full.
But boy was it worth it!
The real fun came when I was putting away the box, and noticed that if I looked at it from the side, there were hearts along the edge!!!
